It's Skin Power 10 Formula Series - VB & VC Effector

I still remember that it has been such a long time that I hadn't use any serum, ampoule or essence in my daily skincare routine after I finished my most favourite serum - Shiseido Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate. Although I wish to repurchase it back, it is kind of pricey for me (It was a gift from my dad =P). I clearly know that it is better for me to use more products in my skincare routine in order to improve my skin condition, but most of the serums/ampoules are quite expensive and I was on a budget.

So , I clicked into my favourite online beauty retailing store website - HERMO & searched for the best selling products among intense care section. Fortunately, I found this It's Skin Power 10 Formula series. Surprisingly, it is quite affordable and is providing a range of selections with different functions. The packaging is so colourful  & travel-friendly (30 ml glass bottle with a dropper).

It reminds me about the high-end serums - SkinInc Nourishing Serums actually , haha ! ^^

After that , I went through all the details & description for each serum offered by the series .

Finally I decided to buy the VB Effector & VC Effector among the range based on my individual skincare needs . Without further ado , let's get to my review ! ^^

VB (Vitamin B) Effector

  • Description/Function:

It's Skin claimed that it is an oil free essence containing Vitamin B6 which controls the secretion of sebum, which is also balances the natural moisture and oils & mitigating any skin .

  • Ingredients:

Water, Alcohol , Butylene Glycol, Polyglutamic  Acis , Glycerin Carbomer , Triethanolamine , Niacinamide , Methylparaben , Phellodendron , Amurense Bark Extract , Schizandra Chinensis Fruit Extract , Fragrance , Amylodextrin , Calcium Pantothenate , Maltodextrin , Chlorphenesin , Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate , Pyridoxine Hcl , Disodium Edta , Tocopheryl Acetate , Silica .

  • Reason for Purchase:

I have a combination to oily skin . Basically, my T-zone & cheeks will become so oily & greasy after few hours while the other parts of my face are quite dry. Previously, some beauty experts told me that my face will become so oily just because my skin is dehydrated. They suggested me to invest more on skincare products with moisturising function instead of oil-controlling, and I found this serum/ampoule has both functions I need.

  • How I Apply:

It just need 3-4 small drops per usage to be applied on my whole face completely after toner. I use this twice a day (day & night) .

  • Packaging:

This kind of packaging is quite common & suitable for serum/ampoule . The transparency of glass bottle & the presence of indicating lines scale on the side of the bottle allow us to be aware of how much products we have consume . Since the dropper serves as the applicator , so it lasts longer. It would be better if the serum has longer dropper , because it is unable to reach the bottom of glass bottle to get the remaining serum when the serum is almost finish .

  • Texture:
It is a transparent fluid with watery-like texture , lightweight, not sticky at all .

  • Scent:

Floral fragrance-scented but it is still acceptable for me . Hence , I will not recommend this for anyone who dislike scented-products (light scent but might be considered strong for them) or anyone who is sensitive/allergic to fragrances .

  • Performance:

For my case, it takes less than 30 seconds to get absorbed into my skin , which is making it easy for me to move further to my next skincare routine (Application of VC effector or moisturiser) . It does moisturise my skin & oil-controlling . After I finished the whole bottle of serum , I found that my skin condition is improved. My skin will not that easy to get oily & has less acne & blemishes . The result might not obvious for some people, but it does work for me .

Since it contains alcohols , I will not recommend this to anyone who has sensitive skin type that allergic to alcohols .

  • Rating:  4 out of 5 in Overall.

In general , this serum really works for me . It did its job on my skin , lightweight (I dislike adding heaviness on my skin) & has a nice scent . Besides , my skin is kinda sensitive for sometimes , fortunately it will not breaking me out . I have repurchase and it is my 2nd bottle now . I would recommend this to anyone who has combination-oily skin , and want to buy a good quality serum with a budget . However , this is definitely not a right choice for anyone who has sensitive skin types (allergic to  alcohols & fragrances) .

VC (Vitamin C) Effector

  • Description/Function:

It's Skin claimed that it is a skin-brightening & soothing serum containing Vitamin C derivatives & green tea components suppresses the melanin formation & lessen the apperance of freckles & other skin discolorations that can make skin look dull and dark , and tightens pores to leave skin fair & luminous. Skin appears visibly healthier & fairer after only a few days of use .

  • Ingredients:

Water , Butylene Glycol , Glycerin , Polyglutamic Acid , PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil , Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate , Carbomer , Methylparaben , Triethanol Amine , Acrylates/C10-30 alkyl acrylate crosspolymer , Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract , Chlorphenesin , Fragrance , Disodium EDTA .

  • Reason for Purchase:

I got chickenpox right after I was born to the world . It left a lot of scars on my face , because my mom told me that my little "itchy" hands kept scratching my infected areas when I was a baby . Besides , I have some acne scars , freckles & big pores on my cheeks . Since it is claimed that this product will tightens my pores , brightens my skin & even fading the scars , I decided to give this a try .

  • How I Apply:

I apply 2-3 small drops of this serum on my whole face after toner (and VB Effector) & before moisturiser . I use this twice a day (day & night) .

  • Packaging:

Same as VB effector , it is filled into a 30 ml yellowish transparent glass bottle with a cap & a dropper serves as a tool for application , with an indicating lines scale on the side of bottle .

  • Texture:

It is a milky fluid with a thicker consistency texture than VB . However , it does not feel oil or greasy to touch . It is still considered as lightweight & smooth to apply . Also , it has a bit sticky , but it does not bother me .

  • Scent:

Light , Citrus-y scented , it smells like orange or lemon . So I think this might be acceptable for the people who dislike scented-products , but  I would not recommend this for anyone who is sensitive/allergic to fragrances .

  • Performance:

For my case , it will takes a while longer (around 1-2 minutes) to be absorbed into my skin & leaves a thin & subtle tacky finish on my skin . Surprisingly , it is way more effective than what I've expected actually! Once I started applying this , it has noticeably reducing the dullness of my skin . My face complexion was tired & lifeless to look at before, but now it turns brighter & healthier. Furthermore, my chickenpox & acne scars have faded ,  and it does tightening my pores . My skin texture is improved as well , which is clearly becoming smoother . I am so impressed with how it turned out!

Initially , I just use this at night , because it is not claimed as an oil-free essence & I scared this might make my skin becoming greasy easily & breaking out , especially I always staying in a very humid environment . After 3 days , I started to try to use this both day & night . Yes , my face is becoming a bit oily , but it is acceptable and never break me out .

Certainly , I will not recommend this to anyone who has sensitive skin type that allergic to alcohols because this serum contains alcohols .

  • Rating: 4.5 out of 5 in Overall.

In general, this VC Effector obviously did what it claims, even beyond my expectation. I finally know the reasons about why this serum becomes the Top 1 Best Seller among others in the Power 10 Formula series. By the way, I've already repurchased this as my 2nd bottle in use. I would definitely recommend this but I would suggest anyone who has combination-oily skin, it is better to be used in the evening or before sleep. Of course, as I mentioned, this is not a right choice for anyone who has sensitive skin types (allergic to  alcohols & fragrances).

I think , you might wonder the sequence of the application for Power 10 Formula series , if there is a case which you buy more than one serum of the series , and you wish to use them all at the same time . And here it is:

This is the end of my review ! =D
